Will the Savage 21 be discountinued?
Good question. I would hope not but if there is a RTR Savage with more power sitting on a shelf beside a Savage 21, which would you pick?

Why? Its the same truck, a few upgrades but certianly not a wild departure from the original that would qualify it as a new model.

I second that!
Why worry about the .21 when the .25 is coming! It's the same as the .21 but, with upgrades! I am glad that HPI came out with a new and improved model!

Of course they're going to stop making the Savage21 when the Savage25 comes out.Traxxas doesn't still sell the old T-Maxx do they??With the bigger and suposedly better engine and more upgrades to the driveline and the not to mention the New fuel tank you'll find ALOT of Savage21's on E-Bay for a while but no more new ones.

The new Savage25 RTR is going to be released in October.Their is no reason for HPI to continue sell of the Savage21 RTR.

I think the analogy of the TMAXX is a perfect example of what will become of the Savage 21. Why would they continuously make 3 different models of the Savage? The newer versions will have updates and improvements from the original....they won't keep producing the original with its defects....and people won't buy them.
As also stated, you will start to see Savage 21's all over, for a cheaper price than they go for now....because they will depreciate in value, and everybody will want to have the .25's or the SS.
Give a years time, and the Savage 21 will be as little talked about, as the 1st gen TMAXX.

I don't like the thought of a discontinued 21 because of the same reason you can't buy a Hi Lux, Outlaw Rampage, a Raider, a USA-1, a Monster Beetle, or whatever old R/C anyone wishes they still had. Not to mention the fact that as kits change or cars become obsolete it will be harder & more expensive to find replacement parts.

????? ?????
Replacement parts hard to find?IT'S STILL A SAVAGE....there is nothing different on it other than the addition of HD Dogbones wheel hubs and The New .25 engine.NOTHING ELSE HAS BEEN CHANGED.All the parts from the Savage21 will fit on the Savage25 AND the Savage SS.

Yeah I know they're the same other than the upgrades but it happens to all of them eventually no matter how popular they are. I'd love to be able to find an Outlaw Rampage but I'm finding out it's easier said than done.
