I can't leave anything stock so I will start modding my T-Maxx piece by piece. What are the first mods you would suggest?
Let me know how I am doing..here is what I am thinking...
1. Temp gun
2. Failsafe
3. Fuel filter (is this necessary)?
4. Better filter (Do I need one or is the stock one good enough)

That is what I got in mind so far, then later I will start with the performance stuff. If I get a tuned exhaust will I notice a nice increase in performance? My buddy just got a T-Maxx so I want to be able to smoke him...

The temp gun is a good idea, also the fail safe and fuel filter. The air filter is up to you, I havent had any problems with mine so far. I will most likely get one anyway. As far as making it last, RPM bulk head brace and front skid plates are a big help. As you break stuff you can replace from there. As far as performance stuff, I would learn how to use all of the power it has before you start making more. They are big and fast, not exactly agile. If you plan to race, better tires are a must have.

i think air filter is also important ..dont put aluminums yet just break it and replace it..the one u have are good for now

The most cost effective thing to do would be sell the tmaxx on ebay asap and buy something else.

Second would be to buy a full set of RPM gear and I mean all of it. then get some titanium hinge pins and turnbuckles. This truck should come from the factory with rpm gear.

You should have a blast though I like my maxx its just too weak for my taste.
