I want to get a SAavage SS and I downloaded the manual from www.hpiracing.com and it said you needed a 3 chanel radio. I don't want reverse so do I need a 3 chanel radion. A 2 chanel is MUCH cheaper.

If your not EVER planning on putting in a reverse module, then a two channel is fine. You only need the third channel for reverse.

Consider this, 3 channels will have more options built into the radio making it easier to set the truck up, and adjustments are easier. Also, the 3 channels are FM I am not sure about the the 2 channels.

JR has a digital 3 channel with 2 servos one is a metal gear and it runs about 150.
you can set end points and it has memory for up to 4 vehicles.

Yeah whichever you choose...I strongly suggest you get one with endpoint adjustment. It's crucial to the life of your servos. If you're going to get a new radio you might as well get an FM with some extras.
