Default hot bodies 3.5 tuning

I just stuck this engine in my mugen buggy.
I see it has 3 adj needles.
I'm not sure how they work.
I found hot bodies web site and I set as per the .21 engine at
low-3.5
middle-3.25
high -3.5

It starts up good using the starter box and I ran it in circles for 2 tanks.
seems the middle needle is WAY rich( just my quess) after a tank it was not even too hot to hold my hand on the fins.
it idles then bogs really bad and won't rev up .

question is the low and midddle needles leaner =clockwise???
I assume the high speed is counterclockwise=leaner.

I don't know if this engine( used) has been broke in so I'm doing it just in case.

maybe I have the middle and low speed needles mixed up?
which one is inside the throttle arm?

Ok I just answered my own question. you guys are too slowLOL!
http://www.hotbodiesonline.net/tuneing.htm

as long as that link to info is correct for the engine I have.

Usually you dont want to touch your middle needles but it sounds like you are running to rich on your HSN and LSN. If you have a temp gun what temp is your engine running at?

I didn;t get the temp gun out. I can hold my hand firm on the heat sink after a tank, I bet it's not even 130 degrees.

after it cools I'll get out the gun and go for another tank.
Oh I just thought I' running blue thunder race fuel%30 ( cause that is what I use in the OS motor that is usually in there.

Hummm, think that is a mistake? I'll wait for opinions before I run it some more.

just try tuning the high speed first, then go from there.

dont forget that when u turn ur lsn all the way in make sure u wont turn that midrange needle cuz it can turn the midrange needle when u turn it in too much...the mid range should always be flush
