I've never seen one run but the evader (nitro) has pretty nice stuff for the $$. A OS built .18, alum. threaded shocks, lots of hop ups avail. too.
Or you could spend a little more and get a Nitro rustler, with the 2.5 and electric start.
If all out competition is what you want the nothing beats a LOSI, or Team Associated, but plan on spending more.

take a look at the hpi st's. they have the new nitro rush evo coming out, or for cheap you can get the original rush. even the notri mt is good!!

i have the thunder tiger dt10 stadium truck, its very strong and the only thing i would reccomend replaceing on it would be the controller. other than that i'd say get the thunder tiger.

for the price a traxxas nitro sport its cheap, reliable, sturdy/strong, and fast its what i started with and its a great truck.

Based on the fact that you already have an electric Rustler, why not get its nitro counterpart? You already have the 6-cell stick pack required and a charger. Rustler is just barely the fastest stadium truck in that price range, edging out XTM's X-cellerator by one MPH. Once you play around with a nitro Rustler, you'll find that the electric one is driveway material only.

If this is your first nitro vehicle IMO I'd get the rustler because it has electric start.
IMO pullstarts are a pain, maybe Associated will have a dualstart kit for the rc10GT, like they do on the MGT.

Tower Hobbies has the ultimate cheap n00b ST "Nitro ST-15" for like $134.99 Prebuilt. All u need is a radio, that ST is cheap as hell but I am unsure of how it preforms. I would definaly bet it'd get owned by an rc10gt or probably any other ST there is.

the rc10gt is not available with a 2 speed, nor does anyone make one. there is no need, as the trucks with a good engine, will already go faster than u can ever want them too.

look in to a CEN Fun factor, it will give you a two wheel drive stadium truck that you can upgrade to a two speed and four wheel drive. It will also allow you with a little work, to have a rally car, stadium truck, monster truck, and buggy, all with a few parts and a little bit of time. I have a Fun Factor MT and so far, have been happy with it, I bought it used and it was all sorts of messed up. I spent a week checking it over and making sure everything was cool, and in two days I had it running good, and am now working on tuning it up for maximum performance.

chris, rc10gt is the way to go for you! everyone that races uses gt's or xxnt's (which are more $). the gt is THE MOST durable st on the market and you can take a turn at wide open throttle and not flip unlike a rustler that will flip quite easiley. its def fast enough and it is a GREAT beginner car. the setup is completely simple and designed for easy access to everything. the gt is simply the best st on the market. (xxx-nt fans, sry but its out of his price range but its right up there with the gt!)
