RE: savage hopup
tuned pipe and motorsave air filter then maybe a good steering servo and if u decide to invest on rims forget the prolines or hotbodies go with aluminum rim ..more $$ but worth it ..i still regret how much i spent on rims and tires and i kept on stripping...then maybe u replace what u break if something breaks

RE: savage hopup
if u have the savage ss, u dont need a better air filter or tuned pipe
i would say get the hpi dual brake set or the mip cvds and possibly some aluminum shocks
i did notice there was some flexing in the shock towers and that was it, i might buy some aluminum shock towers.
also, if u have weak steering servo get a servo with at least 85 oz./tq, i prefer something around 95-105 oz/tq
i dont know where i read this but someone sells a conversion kit for the ss and it comes with a extra hpi 25 engine and it allows both engines to be on the truck at the same time for 5 hp. its $250 so it might be too high for lots of people. i dont plan on buying it anytime soon
