I just finished my "ColdAir" mod. I know it's old school, but I thought I'd show a pic anyway. I think I'll add a 90 degree elbow. The tubing isn't meant to make that small of a radius. Also coming is the hood scoop, to feed the air directly. I've got it started but not quite finished. I know the scoop won't make much difference, but it was fun to build.

The tie wraps are to protect the head from getting scuffed-up. Even with the body on the head was scratched during a back flip... [

Thanks! Yes, I did make the scoop. It's a work still in progress. I'm trying to decide on the way in which it feeds the carb. I have a couple ideas but can't decide which to use...

Nice job on the air intake mods, and the scoop looks great. If you are looking for an actual performance gain though, check out an 1/8 scale dual stage buggy filter. They have a higher flow volume, and basically a 360degree intake, as opposed to the front face intake like the stock filter. The Thunder Tiger/AE filters are the best cause of the foam they use, but any 1/8 scale dual stage, Crono, Ofna, RB, are all excellent.

Also, thanks for the lead on the 1/8 buggy filters. I'll be checking into them soon!
