I don't know, but I will call Cen on monday to find out. But the rumors are sometime in jan or early feb. and the price is somewhere around 400.

Give every one a coupon for a free test drive on your new genesis. then take all the money you saved, and buy two. That way you can get through the coupon holders a little faster.

I looked at hobbytron.com recently and now they moved release date to Mid-June!!
Cmon CEN! How many times must you keep moving this back??!?

Why not just say something like October 2004 or January 2005 and be done with it?!?
Instead of March 2004, ooops mid-April 2004, ooops Late april 2004, oooops mid May 2004,....... ooooopss Mid-June 2004.

It's too obvious now they want to compete and (hoping) steal thunder away from Losi LST and Traxxas Revo so they want to set release date at around the same timeframe as those 2 trucks.
I don't think that's a good move. Either that or there is something wrong with the truck they are trying to fix at the last minute.
Tired of waiting... so many plans for the truck but where is it? probably still in assembly line...
sigh... CEN marketing people get your act together!

If you go to the Cen website you will see that they don't have a specific release date. It just says spring 2004, and it's been that way for a couple of months. Hobbytron must have pushed back their release date because cen is saying that the trucks should be in the country around the 20th of this month. Then your going to have a few weeks for cen to get the trucks ready for delivery to the distributer and then a week for the distributer to get them to the customer, giving you around mid june. If you havn't pre ordered one then you are probably looking at mid summer before you can buy one, nearly the entire first shipment has been sold to pre orders.

Web, this is one of the oldest threads on the Genesis. There are much newer, more detailed threads floating around. Second, any release date given by any company is not exact. It cant be, nor will it ever be. There are too many delays in importing, and manufacturing. Of course everybody wants the FIRST date given to be the exact date, but it doesnt work like that. Just use that release date as an estimate, and then you'll have a good idea of when to set some money aside.

kerryg over at wildhobbies is saying that the delivery company says that the "container will arrive about MAY 20th"

that probably means arrive at CEN, give them another week to look over all the productsl, and another 1-two weeks to ship them out the resellers, so expect a mid June delivery

Weird. eHobbies must be jumping the gun a bit because this is the note that I just received from CEN - "The truck is not shipping yet. They have not arrived in the US yet. Any day now they should be arriving."
I had asked them when they would be in Canada since they were already shipping in the US...
