cold/snow motor trouble
i was driving my truck in the snow for about an hour, then it started acting strange. If i give it too much throttle, it bogs, but when i pump it a few times it takes off with more power than ive ever seen from this motor... very strange. Could it be becasue its running lean(colder air) or something to do with water in the air filter/gas?

Yep, you should richen it up a bit if your gonna be running it in the cold weather. I also read that hotter plugs can be good for your engine in cold running conditions.

RE: cold/snow motor trouble
go to ace hardware (or the like) and get some aluminum tape. its used for higher temp duct work like dryer exaust vents in your house. then cut small strips about 1/2 inch wide and long enough to wrap around the cooling head. start from the bottom of the head and continue to add strips untill enough cold air is blocked off so that the engine will come up to normal temps. once the engine is at normal temps you just tune it as normal.
