Im not sure about a racer version, but theres no doubt in my mind that they will do an SS version. I would like to hear some reviews on that MT2. I had a racer and wasnt really pleased with it. Supposedly the MT2 is more durable.

well i have the hpi mt2 but i am not good in giving reviews it handles great i have been beating the hell out of the thing and it is still together i got a jump in my back yard and i get it about 15-20 feet in the air,the suspension is really cushy like a savage,and the .15fe was easy to tune and has plenty of power for it,and it handles real well and the yokahoma it comes with aren't bad grip pretty good my neighbor is a cop so i will have him clock it for me when i have it fully broke in by the way he clocked my savage at 58 mph gotta love it

sorry same thing except the hpi mt2 t-15 has 2 needle carb and ae construction instead of abc also it has the aluminum header,i mixed it up with my hpi mt wich does have 15fe i am such a moron!![:-]
