Mammoth or HPI MT2
Well Hello All,
Its been along time and Im finially back online....the moved kinda sucked and Im still in boxes.....but Im sure you guys dont care....I guess Ive been doin alot of reading an lookin round these days at all the new RTR's out there...I'm considering either a new XTM Mammoth or HPI's new MT2. Does anyone run either of these and if so Please feel free to dump on them or praise them.I have never seen either of them run so im baseing my decision on opinions and comments from you all.Althought I still havent totally ruled out the thought of an OFNA buggy...I really like the looks of these 2 trucks mentioned. Thanks Guys (in advance)

Hmmmm...
At this time I would have to say the Savage, Only because I have done a ton of bashing with my Savage ( and none with the Mammoth) and its pretty built up. I havent had time to bash around with the Mammoth (due to the weather up here in WI.). So far all I have realy been able to do with the Mammoth is break in the motor and play in a parking lot to tune it in (drag racing both my Savage and a T-Maxx with the XTM conversion in it, it blew both away) . So its kind of a lopsided judgement. When I have more time to play with the Mammoth I'll be able to give you a better comparison of the two.

I ordered mine from Hobby People. It was $399.

I'm going to add a Venom Speed Meter to it this weekend, so I'll be able to tell how fast it goes.[sm=bananahead.gif]
cant wait....

RE: Mammoth or HPI MT2
Im thinkin about getting a mammoth myself. I went to the mammoth forum at xtm.globalhobby.com and man these people are freaks about their mammoth. I know its a mammoth forum and all, but still these guys are serious about loving their mammoth's. Ill be getting one also around jan 10th or so. Plus on those forums the moderators are people that work at xtm and if you have any trouble with anything they Really go all out on getting you lined up with an answer. Thats customer expierience at its best lol. Oh and i also hear that there are lots of companies designing some sweet aftermarket parts for them.

If you want to know how the people at RCCA feel about it, pick up the newest issue. The Feb issue has a complete review of the Mammoth.
It depends on the gears, the Mammoth has another set of gears that are for top end running, but they are also suposed to not hurt the bottom end either. We'll see though. I am a sceptic.
besides the savage isnt that much slower
