Default K&N Air Filter for RC? (Air Breathers)

Hi guys. I just bought K&N filters ($14.99 each) for my twin titan. Actually they are crankase breathers for automobiles. I know some will you will disappove of this. I went with the car breather since they will be a lot cheaper considering I will need a pair.

It is of this matter that I would like to inquire if any of you have placed an outside foam to make it a two-stage filter. If so, what kind of foam and where can I purchase this?

Also, anyone using them? Please leave some feedbacks as well.

Thanks.

I use K&N filters in my pickup truck and 4-wheelers, but not in my R/C. Since the filter is so close to the ground, and the front tires pretty much throw dirt at it, a pre-filter is probably a good idea. K&N makes dirt and waterproof pre-filters for larger applications, but I don't know about those crankcase breathers.
