I HAD THAT PROBLEM ALSO WITH MY SPORT MAXX
I ADJUSTED THE LW SPEED NEEDLE AND IDLED THE ENGINE UP JUST A BIT
IT FIXED MY PROBLEM AND IF THAT DOESNT WORK GO TO TRAXXAS WEBSITE
ASK THEM
THEYRE THE EXPERTS

RE: engine shuts off in the middle of a tank of fuel
Counter clockwise richens the mixture, clockwise leans the mixture
I think he is right. I had a problem with the Maxx dying while running every now and again. I know
I adjusted the low speed needle, but I can't remember which way I turned it to make it better.
Read the manual... You are supposed to pinch the tank-carb fuel line, and it is supposed to idle
up and die after 2-3 seconds. If it dies instantly, you are too lean. If it takes longer then
2-3 seconds, it is rich. Read the Low Speed Needle adjustment guide in the manual.
I followed that and it worked fine.
