Help Please
I'm new to nitro and I'm looking into getting a new monster truck. I've narrowed it down to a few trucks.
T-maxx- Strengths? Weaknesses?
Savage- strength? weakness?
Thunderquake- strength? weakness?
If you can add a truck to that list that would be great! I'm a nOOb and all i like to do is backyard bash. so which truck is the strongest and fastest outa all these trucks?!?!

RE: Help Please
Look at the Cen MT2, its a great truck.
strengths:
Cost, performance, quality, support
Weaknesses:
Radio, diff cups
The MT2 is a .16 CI nitro, with a two speed tranny and 4 wheel drive. It can do 45+ if properly tuned. You can also buy a conversion kit and run it as a stadium truck, buggy, or rally car. If you have more questions go to www.cenracing.com or let me know. waihiwa2 can also help you out.

RE: Help Please
The only problem with it is the radio. They have had problems with the radio losing contact with the truck and going into an uncontrolled run away. You can correct the problem with either a failsafe or a new radio. You do not need to run an expensive radio either, any aftermarket AM system will work. I have one and have been running it since october, and I have had no problems with anything on the truck.

i have heard bad things about the thunder quake. t-maxx will break on you a lot faster than the savage will. i would go for the savage. i have one and have had no problems with it at all.

RE: Help Please
norco, you may not be able to look at a Cen MT2 at your LHS. Many hobbyshops won't touch Cen because they are still new rigs. If you have questions you can ask me anything about the MT2, I also have some pics of mine in my gallery. Ultimately, its your choice good luck with what ever you get.
