How about the Cen Fun Factor MT2? Its inexpensive, durable, and Cen has great customer service and support. The MT2 is a 1/10th scale truck with a .16 CI engine, two speed tranny and four wheel drive. It is capable of 45+ MPH. It is very simple to work on, my MT2 is my first nitro. Parts are inexpensive, www.ehobbies.com has the best prices. Ehobbies is also the best place to buy the MT2. If you have more questions about the MT2 go to www.cenracing.com or let me know. waihiwa2 can also help you out.

visit the t-maxx forum. but first buy a savage. its bigger and better. it never breaks, its easy to run in and easy to start. also, its the fastest stock monster truck (50mph)

Some people like them, others hate them. If you read a lot of the post about them, there are a lot of broken parts. from what I have read, the maxx is a good race truck, but not so good for bashing when its stock. You will end up spending at least as much as you would to upgrade the maxx as you would to buy a savage. I recommended the Cen MT2 because its great on the track great for bashing, and its much less than the other comperable trucks. And since you have to save to get it, You would be able to get it sooner, and be able afford to buy parts more often if the need should arise.

I can take a pic of mine tonight, minus the engine. I think there are pics on www.cenracing.com with the body off.

Cool, yea i made the decision of getting this truck, its my final pick...now i have a quick question...is it like mud proof? like can i drive it and it can get all muddy and dirty and it will still work fine the next time i use it?(after a clean ofcourse).[8D]

You will need to do some waterproofing on the reciever box, servo and air filter. But those are things you will have to do with any RC. There are a few people on here that do serious mudding with their MT2's, so its very possible to do. I am glad to hear that you are getting an MT2, I am sure that you won't be disappointed. If you have any more questions let me know.

ICrashThings, in your original post you said

Then you posted a link to a Tmaxx. If you are looking for a truck to hop-up and make it look unique, then a Tmaxx is definately the way to go. It is the undisputed king of hop-ups and aftermarket support, it is also easy to work on and maintain. The other trucks mentioned here are good trucks as well, but the answer to your original post is "TMAXX!!!"

well, yea, but then i started to think to myself that i have an rc10gt and that wasnt really made for "hop-ups". but i somehow made it REALLY hupped up by mutating it. now the LHS that i goto sells T-Maxx's and they are like $400 and i always see something on them break...well i only have about ~$40 and i doubt i will have enough for a T-Maxx til this next school year[:'(]. but yea i just need a nice truck is all so im really leaning towards the MT2 because i hear its a little bit more durable then a T-Maxx.
