Default Mammoth update anyone???

Just wondering, i saw the mammoth in my LHS the other day. How are these trucks holding up? Are you still happy with them? How is the aftermarket? I like the truck, but its waaaay too long. Has anybody heard anything about XTM making a SHORT wheel base version? Or releasing any different bodies for it?

Thanks, Matt

As for how its doing, I have no probs as of yet. I love the Mammoth. Its fast as heck and it handles great. It has plenty of power out of the whole and great top end. I have chased down Motorcycles, kids on bikes and dogs with it and its still around. It is starting to get more aftermarket support now (its also about the same time the aftermarket parts for the Savage started to come out last year). I talked to the guy at XTM and he told me they are getting ready to release more bodies for it. They are also great as far as the customer support. They replaced an old 24/7 mottor of mine that I destroied in my Savage 6 months ago, and they did that for free. They are a good company to work with and they do stand behind their products. I cant wait to see the new bodies, they should be cool.

Well Thermal the support is pretty good. There are plenty of Hop ups( at least 40). I didnt like the XTm wheels so I ordered the conversion kit for the Maxx wheels. The weak point on the truck are the shock towers . They will bend during a serious crash. They can be bent back but Carbon Fiber shock towers are the way to go. The performance of the truck is great its very fast and handles great. Im happy with it. I did change over to an FM radio but I dont have to explain that to you Thermal Im pretty sure you run with FM radios as well. I will send you the link to the forum XTM Mammoth forum. There are alot of guys with the truck and they post very often[link]http://globalservices.globalhobby.com/globalforum/viewforum.php?f=10[/link][link]http://www.hobbypeople.net/hopup/14561501.asp[/link]
