Default jumbo kong tires

Im thinking about getting the jumbo kong tires with my mgt but did some research and it seems like they really make a truck unstable most people dont like them. That discouraged me a little bit but I still want to get them for rock crawling or just going over anything that another truck cant. Do people use jumbo's in rockcrawling events? Will it raise the center of gravity too much?

Dude, dont know about them much, niether never had them.
but ive seen them on a MGT, and wow, they make it high, real high...

but still that aint da best, u need to have a fat ass servo to push these wheels around!

hope this helps.

Edit:
Niether, dont use the MGT for rockcrawlin, u got the X-Factor/TXT-1 for that stuff...
niether, try getting some bigger shox, they will help you in liftin ya truck up, if thats what you want!
(My opinion...)

Jumbo's are for show and awe factor. They aren't for bashing, rock crawling or racing, pure and simple.

They will strain your suspension, electronics, drivetrain and first and foremost your wallet.

The Kongs won't give you any particular advantage that isn't counteracted by performance or reliability losses.

If you want taller and you want more stability, go with the Pro Line Big Joes and 40 series wheels.

Then get a clutch bell -1 or -2 teeth from your current setup to compensate for the larger tire diameter.

Ya they look pretty sweet!!! Now they look like real monster trucks!!!Im sure they could crawl over anything too. I was gonna get some kongs when I got my mgt next week, but I was readin rc driver magazine today and saw an ad for gs storm unlimited truck. now my eyes are set on it and I dont wanna put kongs on that machine.

I am useing the ofna p4 15 tooth clutch bell 72tooth spur,2speed tranny with 2nd gear locked out.I drove it last night it seemed to be a nice gear ratio had lots of power its just 2 wheel drive right now but it seemed to help with the turning radius cause you can slid the backend around.i havent run with the newbright body yet .I jumped it a bit and it handles nice takes away the gooffy bouncyness of the jumbo tires on a short truck

I dont want the top speed to be to much .dont want it to rip itself apart.i think it hits about 20 mph right now.even just in 2wd its amazing where it can go
