At the moment I am using 15% nitro fuel in my savage 25.It is running finebut i can'nt get it into 2nd gear.Could it be that the engine does'nt have enough rpm to help it into 2nd gear.

Would 25% nitro fuel be ok in the engine and would it run nice and happily.Or would it be to much[&o]for the engine.

Sounds to me like you are still running rich possibly. Can you give us some more symptoms? Also 15% is very low for a big block. I have never ran anything but 30 in mine from competition motors to sport motors. what brand are you using? How old is the fuel as well.

Is the engine running hot? November to now and not knowing how long it was on the shelf at the LHS, if it was not kept cool and dry this whole time, it has most likely lost a nice portion of the nitro methane and your engine is struggling to run off lower grade fuel. I would replace it.

What would happen if you used a to high % of nitro in the savage engine

If you ran a higher % nitro would cause you engine to run lean no matter how you set the carb. You would risk overheating and seizing your engine... Not worth the extra power. 25 should be fine.
