RE: TURBOS DO THEY WORK????
No, they do not work, it is impossible to compress air into a non airtight cylinder effectively. If you search around the forum, I have posted a very lengthy explaination as to why, too lengthy to type out again lol. If you find it and read it and still have questions, pm me and I will try to help. I have owned every form of forced induction possible at least two times over in my race cars (real ones, not RC).

RE: TURBOS DO THEY WORK????
Turbos are the most efficient form of forced induction in real cars.Basically what they do is take the exhaust gas thats expelled from the engine and turn it into power.I could go into exactly how they do work but it's not necessary.I don't think it will work the same with RC engines.I've seen superchargers for RC's but I don't think they are very effective in 2 strokes.

NA, you are correct that there are none but some people are not as mechanically inclined as to know the difference between a turbo and a supercharger so now I just go with the generalization that most people use. Rex, you are very correct, they are not effective in 2 stroke applications at all, neither is nitrous oxide or any other form of power adder, the only power adder we have access to is a better engine lol.

I've heard that the superchargers are a total waste of money. These Nitrous kits seem to work though. At least they look like it in their videos. http://www.jagrc.com/picture.html

The only way the nitrous can work properly is to richen the motor, it tottaly ruin off bottle performance so you are essentially making your motor only work for the few seconds its spraying. The rest of the time its burbling fat and no fun to drive. If you don't retune rich, you are just leaning your motor out a LOT while on the bottle. Nitrous is not flammable, just a catalyst for combustion by introducing more oxygen into the fuel mixture but if you are not adding more fuel, you are only hurting it. Not to mention, it only break down the stabelizing nitrogen portion at well over 700 degrees and I am not even sure if it gets that hot inside a 2 stroke RC engine.
