for that amount you should be able to buy a savage 25, especialy as you already have the stuff to start ur buggy

I LOVE my savage, but thats just my opinion

There is also:

Tmaxx

lol, thats imressive, you would actualy have to be going full throtle into a solid wall to do that.

To be fair though, all you would need to get that running again is a new set of chasis plates front dog bone and some other small bits, so it wouldnt be to bad

If that had been a tmaxx the whole mid chasis would need replacing

lol

And another 1. LOL.........The savage is a great truck. These were high speed crashes. I would definetely look into the savage and maybe the xtm mammoth because i have had good luck with XTM.

No flames wars here please....

What ever MT you get, I would say a 1/8 scale not a 1/10 scale because the parts a thicker and more durable.

ouch that hurts! ive hit things at full speed with my tmaxx and broken numerous parts, like bulkheads and suspension arms. but if your going to race your truck at your local track then i recomend the tmaxx because some tracks wont allow 1:8 scale for some reason. weve had alot of savage guys go home steaming because track official wont let them race. and just take this into consideration, the tmaxx 2.5 is faster, handles better and is just more competitive. but the savage on the other hand is a GREAT bashing truck if your going to just run around where ever. just my $0.02

Depends on where you are - the track i go to wont allow 1/10 scale.

well, my point being... the maxx is a better race truck, and the savage is a better bashing truck.

sup...i got a t-maxx 2.5....i dont have much knolage of the savage but i kno that the t-maxx is a preatty reliable truck tho.....like if u get rpm parts there fairly cheap and light....so itd be like a savage maxx that u can race.....its really fast too...the engine is preatty hard to tune tho....it just takes practice...i really like it....all i do with it is bash.....

See what your LHS carries. I have a TMaxx and if you are on a tight budget, I would say go with the Savage.

THere are more parts for the t-maxx but if you get the savage you wont need to worry about getting replacement parts allthe time

There is the Cen Fun Factor MT2. It is only 1/10th scale, but it is faster than most other MTs. It is also cheaper than the traxxas and the HPI. It is as durable as the HPI as well. Parts may be a sticking point, depending on whether or not your LHS carries Cen. You can however buy them online from quite a few places. If you want more info go to www.cenracing.com or let me know.
