Megatech tempest gladiator
Ok, I have a master plan to sell my rush and t-maxx, and to buy a megatech tempest gladiator. Does anybody have any comments about it? I read some reviews on it and the reviews were very posotive. I'll only be using this for backyard bashing, not racing. Thanks!

You will want to keep your tmaxx over that truck. I dont think any lhs carries parts for it and ive heard bad stories about it. If you want something small like the megatech i would look into the cen mt2 over the megatech.

I would keep my t-maxx, but itis the .15 version and half of the parts on it are broken. I am also looking for something pretty cheap pricewise. Anyways, thanks for the reply. Any more coments?

I dont understand. How is getting a new vehicle cheaper than repairing the trucks you already have? I think you might be very disappointed.

I would just repair my trucks, but my rush doesn't cut it in my yard. Aso, the t-maxx is mising random parts, and it needs a new engine. I want a monster truck, nota stadium truck for the ground clearance and the engine options (i.e. big block upgrades, etc.)

Well, the duratrax nitro quake is 279.99$ (not a bad truck)hurd good things about it. Reliable engine also. The cen mt2 is a good truck especially for its price, the ofna prite 10 and pirate mt sport are both under 350$. Ne of these trucks will be pretty good.

ok, I have been looking around for the past hour or so at trucks. I found the nitro quake, but it looks tome a bit too tall and not wide enough. The thunder quake looks a lot newer and more durable. I couldn't find a price, but I foundone site thet said 499, but then said 299, so I dont know which one is correct. I like the looks of the thunder quake and I will probablyget that if the price isn't too high.

Ok, thats what I thought, but itlooksa lot betterthan the nitro quake. I need the widestance for jumping, and the nitro quake doesn't seem to beableto go through what I would put it through

Now that I watched the vids and saw that pic, I can see that it is pretty wide. The only thing that concerns me now is the ride hieght. If you watch the vids, then you can see that the chassis is only like acouple of inches off the grtound. Is there anything that can be done about this?

It could bejust that the body is mounted so high that it looks to me like the chassis is lower, but now that I think about it, my t-maxx doesn't ride very high either.

Thats a good 3 inch ground clearence right there. Remeber this thing has 6.3 inch tires. Ive seen this truck up close. It is a tad bigger than the maxx.

Woah...I never really thought about how big the tires were. Well, I'm sold! Also, a plus is that when the stock engine inthere dies, I can putany .21 in there;no conversion kit necessary. Thanks, I really appreciate your help Mxracer45.

Hehe no problem. Now dont expect real high speeds form this truck. It has a single speed. It should be a little faster than your original t-maxx. But im sure it will have good torque.

RE: Megatech tempest gladiator
ALright just checked tmaxx specs and the nitro quake is longer and wider than the tmaxx. It also has bigger tires. The tmaxx has a better ground clearence but since the duratrax quake is a truggy and will handle better than the maxx. That is 1 of the reasons the quake has a small ground clearence: for better handeling

RE: Megatech tempest gladiator
Well, I would kind of like a two speed tranny, but I guess that this is fine. I also noticed an ad here for a thunder quake for 180, but the engine is almost dead. I am not very comfortable buying used items after I bought my t-maxx on e-bay, but This looks like something I really want.
