Then, my personal opinion, the Cen truck is a great truck. You cant beat how much you get for the money. The radio is not the best, but it works until you can upgrade. This is the same with most stock radios though. The diff cups can be a problem. But there is a company that Cen says is working on titanium diff cups. Other than that, you really cant go wrong with a Cen. Unless you are wanting a 1/8th scale, then you would have to wait for the Genesis to come out. But like I said, if you want more info on the MT2 let me know. I have many post on here and I am more than willing to help you out now and if you buy one.

Bad? nah. The only problem is the shocktowers which bend a little on the easy side. But you can bend them back with pliers. But for the price its a great truck.

bonified, Let me know if you need help with anything on your truck when you get it. Also, check your gear mesh when you get it, there have been some trucks that have been shipped with incorrect gear mesh. I have a post on here with a good way to check and set the mesh. Also, you can get parts from www.ehobbies.com and www.toyhaus.com. ehobbies is cheaper, but toyhaus ships faster. You will want to pick up an extra set or two of diff cups, an extra set of spur gears, glow plugs, and some axle pins. These are the most commonly damaged things on the MT2, so they are the most important to have on hand.

RE: Need Monster Truck Selection Help!!!!!
I say go with the MT2, I don't proselytize CEN's products like some people but, if you aren't sure what you want, and that seems clear, the MT2 is the best choice. I have owned a Savage and yes it seemed and probably is the toughest MT you could buy but It, in my experience it wasn't all that fun to drive because you can't really drive it like you stole it. It flips over real easy. The MT2 now has Hop-ups form JT racing products and they make some of the nicest stuff around that actually has an effect besides making it shine. Have you looked at the General Silicones S.U.T. it's a great deal. It will whoop up on pretty much any modified MT, right out of the box, comes with a nice JR XR3i radio, unlike pretty much any RTR. You could also convert it into a buggy in less than an hour. I say the CEN Mt2 if you already have some gear and the S.U.T. if you dont have anything, 489.00, RTR with a good radio. If that's out of the question, most definately the MT2. In the end buy what you think you like, if your wrong than at least you'll be one step closer to knowing what you actually do want in an RC contraption.
