Nobody in my area can even preorder any from the the hobby store's because the have not really decided what the price well be or when it will ship. Don't get me wrong I think the LST is really cool, but I don't think parts will be available for a while IMO. I'm going to wait to see the LST and Genesis in person before i buy another truck. The AE mgt sold well out here in washington. mike

nurch ,you listed parts support as #1, but obviously you don't have a clue on what yor talking about, CEN is breaking away with the old and is in with new CEN has told me that after market support, will not be an issue with this truck, they have informed me that most of the major companies will be making parts for the genesis, and just to name a few they said, Hardcore racing, JT racing, and probably much more so I don't think parts support is going to be bad.your #2 post so, what if it comes with a jr radio, as long as the radio it comes with is reliable it's all good, no need for a $200 radio. your #3 post I will have to agree with it because it's true, but once the genesis becomes popular it will soon change IMO. cost of parts CEN has always had good prices on there parts and are very affordable.

I would side more with a Losi truck for the following reasons:
1.) Parts support
2.) Bang for Buck (You get an FM Synthesized radio from JR! Can't top that!)
3.) Local hobby stores will be more prone to having Losi parts than CEN parts
4.) Cost of parts
In the long run, you are much better off with a Team Losi vehicle than a CEN. However, I really do not want to sound mean to the CEN afficianadoes, I think the Genesis looks like a great truck. I just don't think I can deal with the headache of looking for parts, etc.

I can't agree more with you RCnutz, about the anemic engine, that engine is just not enough to move that big truck, and if you've seeen this truck drive in REAL life you'll see what I'am talking about it seems like every time it accelerrated it need to be full throttle, the design looks good but is also wierd, durability wise i think it will take some punishment, but i think the genesis will prevail there just cause the fact that the tvp's chassis design has proven to be extremely durable in the savage. I also agree about a new engine in the losi cause if this had a more powere engine this truck would be great.

To me The LST has an anemic engine for its size and aside from the 4 pumped up shocks it looks just like the rest of the trucks.. so wheres the hype at 600 bucks? I tell you what... There is no hype about it! It seems like everyone is more excited about the JR FM Radio rather than the truck... Who cares about the radio? It's not like you're gonna run the thin a mile away. The radio is just silly in my opinion...
I paid in full for a Genesis and a Revo and will never buy an LST untill they install a real engine in that thing. The smaller the engine the higher the rpms to produce suffiecient power and more wear is imminent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the MGT actually a Thunder Tiger vehicle with an Associated sticker slapped on?

Go to tower hobbies and they already have all the replacement parts listed for the Revo. mike

Sure there is no "need" for a $200 radio but it is a nice option that many people opt for after operating R/C vehicles for some time, especially if they own more than 1 vehicle or regularly drive with others. It is a nice touch to have a top-of-the-line radio included in the kit and really shows Losi's attention to detail and long term use of this product.
I haven't seen either in real life, but I've seen multiple videos of each (LST and Genesis) in action, and frankly I have been really disappointed with the performance of the Cen .46. The truck just doesn't seem to have good acceleration. As far as the LST's performance with the Mach .26, it's faster and quicker than a Cen MT2 which weighs far less and revs out much higher. That is VERY impressive for a truck as large as the LST. If you don't believe me about how the LST walks away from a MT2 than just watch the video of the U.S. Gas Nats.
The LST's chassis is brilliant. If the Savage and Genesis' chassis are called TVPs (twin vertical plates) then the LST's could be refered to as THPs (triple horizontal plates) as it is much of the same concept only layed down horizontally instead of vertically. It looks to be a dominantly strong design.

Obviously you've never seen the genesis either. this thing has a massive clutch bell and has 4 massive clutch shoes, the genesis has the best power to weight ratio of any current 1/8,1/10 mt on the market. I've seen both drive and and the genesis takes off WAY faster and when I say WAY faster I mean WAY faster, CEN said it probably has the best acceleration of any monster tuck, why don't people stop judging the genesis on those videos that's not even a taste of what the genesis is really like and i'm sure that neither was the one at rcx, which did show the genesis preforming great. the LST is not faster than a mt2 it might be quicker out of the whole but the mt2 would pass it up on a flat surface, remeber the LOSI does 40mph whil the mt2 does 45mph+. I may seem like i'am all for the genesis but I don't apreciate peopl talking bad about a car that they have never seen.

To be perfectly honest, I am more then underwhelmed by the genesis. I saw the videos. Crappy acceleration, bouncing all over the place, poor pipe routing. It just looks cobbled together. LST does 44 mph by the way. The difference between a stated 45 plus and a picture of a speed gun showing 44, welp, I will take the legit 44. The Genesis does not even merit a second glance as far as I am concerned. Just another also ran.
By the way, this is a LST arrival date thread. Please make your own thread if you want to debate the merits of the LST Vs. the Genesis.

Well I think that is a little biased... Losi won't have any replacement parts for a long while after the truck hits the stores and neither will Cen or Traxxas for the Revo.. It's all the same with new products so... I think it's a little harsh to beat down a company when others will be in the same bag.
I have 6 LHS in my area and very few carry parts for Losi but carry lots of parts for Traxxas and Cen so Then I could be biased and say that The Genesis is a better idea.. blah blah blah...
Seems like you are the biased one, everyone I'm sure is pleased to now know you pre ordered a revo and a genesis. No need to start bashing the LST, its price or its radio, people in this thread are eagerly waiting the release of the truck, whether it be for the radio, or the truck or both. It is there choice. There is hype about the truck and radio because people want it. Have to look outside the box here and not just from your perspective.

How did this thread get soo far off topic. I dont really care to argue about any truck in here. This is th LST arrival date thread. Id like to keep it that way. We even have Team Losi reps' here now, and still this thread gets jacked. If you are not a fan of the LST, you really dont need to be in this thread. With that said, lets move on. Maybe we will get an update from Trujillo soon.

CEN MT2, please calm down. I liked the argument you posted way earlier after my remarks. But after seeing you start bashing the Losi LST, I lost interest in what would have been a good discussion with you.
Now, to state my points in my 4 reasons why I would not go with a CEN Genesis:
1.) Parts Support - Yes, you are correct with new vehicles having poor parts support. My hobby store, Hobby City, is listed under CEN's website as a CEN dealer. Time and time again, we have had so much trouble trying to get parts for the CT-4, the MT2, etc. I am basing my words on my experience. I don't bash anything without reason. I think that is unfair, and rather insipid of character.
2.) Bang for Buck - as Jefx was referring to, it is more about the long term plan rather than short term. However, you also pose a good point as well. If the radio works well, then stick with it! At my hobby store, we have sold quite a few JR XR2s and the new Futaba AM radio. They have worked flawlessly. However, the only problem with AM radioes is that you have a higher risk of interference than an FM radio. I remember when I was tuning a customer's T-maxx using his TQ radio. As soon as my cell phone went off, the truck went haywire. Luckily we had a failsafe on there before it went gaga. Plus, when Futaba's new FM radio came out, practically all our Tmaxx customers tossed out their TQ radio for that radio. That says something right there. Team Losi is looking out for us by giving us what we need ahead of time! I think that is very considerate of them.
3.) Hobby stores are more prone to carry Losi parts rather than CEN. It is a proven fact. Now with the CEN Genesis coming out, that fact will change. I am not arguing with you there. However, with all the hype the Losi LST has brought up, not to mention making drastic sales, Team Losi's parts will be stocked more quickly than CEN's parts.
4.) Cost of parts - I have known Losi's parts having great price tags on them. CEN's parts, tend to be pricey at times, although generally they are well priced most of the time.
Now, about not seeing this truck. Let me remind you that you have not seen the CEN Genesis either. If you consider the videos you have seen from it, then hell, all of us here in this thread have seen the LST in action many a times! Moreover, I did not bash the CEN!! I said it is a pretty cool truck, but considering what I get with the LST, I would rather side with the LST. What is wrong in saying that? That is my oppinion.
About the engine, I agree to a certain degree. I think the Mach .26 handles the truck just fine, but I will most probably go with a Fantom .27, or bite the bullet and go with a RB .28! But that is my oppinion on what I think is cool for the truck. But I will not dispute the Mach .26's handling of the LST. I think it does a decent job. Heck, I may just put my dremel to work and modify the engine and unleash more potential out of that Mach .26!
And just to state again, please don't come in here and bash the LST. I did not bash the CEN Genesis but rather gave my oppinion of it. I still think it is a cool truck. So please don't get your panties in a knot. I have seen the LST in action through the videos and I think it is a very nice truck. I have seen the CEN Genesis in action through videos and think it handles pretty well also. But in terms of overall bang for buck and racing quality, I would, in my oppinion, side with the Losi LST more.

I'm going to remind all of you once again, that this is the LST Losi arrival date thread, if there are to be any debates, please take them to another thread. all further debates or arguements, will be removed from this thread.
I would hate to see the thread locked because it got out of hand over a flame war on 2 or 3 trucks that have yet to hit the street.
Good thread, can't everyone get along?

Hey Therm,
I got ahold of my rep at Hobbytron, he couldn't confirm the date, but he called his distributor and it looks like mid july for the LST, he offered to refund my cash or put it down on another truck, but I told him to keep it on the LST and send it when ya get it.
Looks like I'll be gone on vacation when it finally comes in.

Hey Therm,
I got ahold of my rep at Hobbytron, he couldn't confirm the date, but he called his distributor and it looks like mid july for the LST, he offered to refund my cash or put it down on another truck, but I told him to keep it on the LST and send it when ya get it.

How can you people judge a truck that isn't out yet?I understand accompany has listed specs but you people act like they are a bible no the lst does 44mph the genny does 45 how do you know?Alot of company's have top of line experts that can get the absolute top performance out of any vehicle does that mean the car you get will have that performance?Maybe maybe not.So just wait till you drive the truck before you make biased opinions about that truck or another.
Sorry for going of topic but i had to throw in my 2 cents.

Now this is unfair. My post is removed from the thread, yet Element can make a good closing argument, like mine was. Very fair.

Thank you tweedybird, for enforcing fairness!
Now, back to topic...what is this thing about people being able to get the Losi by July? From what the sales rep at Horizon told me (again), the release date won't be until August. Someone help!!

Ugg... Rich never refuted LosiCS's post about mid to late August but he implied sooner by saying they would not miss their spring date by to far. Spring ends June 21right? It was kind of ambigious. Can you clarify Rich?

Well, for what its worth, here is the reply Rich sent me after i e-mailed him about the Losi CS.
Matt don't know who is claiming to be a representative, but they are wrong! I'm hoping to get some new video up soon. The only thing I have right now is some early testing that has a body on it that I can't show. Thanks for your patience...but trust be it will be well before August
