Wicked's TxT-1 (body pics)
Here is what came in for me today. I was planning on having some fun this weekend but instead I am going out of town on Saturday and will be dog sitting with the girl friend most of the day on sunday.
Parts are as follows:
Lightened Tamiya Frame
GPM Underguards
GPM Bumpers
New Era SkidPlates (Polished)
Monster Progressive Shocks
Aluminum Turn Knuckles
New Era Cantilevers
Graphite Radio/Batt Plates
I will be starting this Sunday night but I am in no rush. I was really hoping to have my body here but its on back order so I am pretty much going to really take my time and hope that my body comes in this week.

RE: TxT-1 Parts came in today (updated pics)
it looks good but 1 major concern
is it goin to be show truck or crawler
i dont wanna sound harsh but that would make a poor crawler cause to have a good crawler is to have the best mods and best placement of weight
shinny parts wont make it a good crawler
but i c u got the best of the best parts

Hey WickedTxT where did you get those parts? I think I have decided to get a TXT-1 because of the out of the box action. Once this summer comes i will buy one and get my project started. We are in the middle of moving so i really have no time for my cars know.

Hey Custom clod,
I good site for parts is www.rc4wd.com they pretty much of the biggest selection of parts for all trucks. Another good place is ebay. You can usally find lots on there but you take your chance in that they may not be in the best of shape.
Hell_savage ,
I am not sure you know what your talking about. All my parts are pretty much the best you can get, right down to the progressive monster shocks that are $80.00 a set. Txt-1s are one of the best crawlers now out there. Any real crawler will tell you that you don't need to wrap your wheels around a corner or articulation out the ying yang to have a great crawler. My rear diffs are locked which help and the only reason the fronts aren't is because when doing normal driving it makes the truck a pain to turn. My cats are new era and give the truck a little boost with art and my skids are polished just to give them a more different look then just the plain aluminum skids. The only thing you can comment on is the wheels and tires that I have I will agree that they are not the best for crawling because they're all wheel, however, they work well and I like the look.
I don't like to sound like a dick but if your're going to come into one of my posts a comment on my trucks you better know what your talking about. I also don't really understand your post either since you say I don't have the best parts then a few lines down you say I do.

(i no wat im taking about so im not making a fool out of my self)
ok forget wat i said but look at this....

http://www.hpisavageforum.com/forum/...&threadid=8351
this isn't my truck
but as u can c he doesn't have the most shinnyest parts
he has kept the weight low by moving all the electronics to the front and with ur new shinny bumpers how is the truck goin to climb it would have to go on a huge angle and by doin so it would slip (angle is crueshle in crawling) as his truck has no bumper so he can take on the rocks better
he has also cut the bottom of his chassie so he has more ground clearance, i bet u wont want to cut those shinny parts
u have the money to build an ok crawler but not the knowladge to build a super crawler
all u have their is a shelf queen
just my .02 cents

RE: TxT-1 Parts came in today (updated pics)
Dood man!
You have to realize that not all trucks are built to be the worlds best crawler and thats what your not realizing. Its like saying that if a guy thats building a E maxx for racing and dosn't put in 2 hacker c50s then his truck will suck.
I like to have the best of both worlds and them being show and go. This truck has been built with some of the best parts I can get. And not sure if you know this but parts come off with a thing called a driver. So when I do take this out I will remove my nice shiny skids and put on the non polished ones I have. If I was building nothing but I a rock crawler then YES! I would do a few things a little different (longer links, extended drive shafts, different wheels and tires, the list can go on but but since I am not I don't have to worry about all that.
I think you need to look at the pic and decide what this person is doing before you comment on stuff. I wouldn't go into that post you sent me and say "gee dood, your truck dosn't really look like its going to be a good shelf queen" because in one second I can tell that truck was built for nothing but being one hell of a crawler.
Any ways, everything is all good and enjoy the pics.

RE: TxT-1 Parts came in today (updated pics)
Well here is the txt after the weekend. Finally got the parts on.
I am trying to get hooked up with the final parts I needed to complete this project. Some I should have had before starting this but I got excited looking at all the parts and decited that I was just going to put it together. Parts being a complete stainless steel screw kit, 2 pairs of aluminum body post mounts, and a pair of aluminum side shock plates. The body I finally found and should be here this week, then will just have to get it painted.
Hope ya guys like.

WOW! that is shinny! That is one awesome Truck.
I agree with you 100% wicked I dont see what Hell_Savage means.
I think the lack of solid axles on this forum makes these people think anything with solid axles is meant to be a crawler?

Hey thanks guys,
I still have to pick up a set of motors for this truck. All I have now is the stock cans and a nib SR waiting to go in.
Element I think people just don't understand that solid axle trucks can do allot more the crawl. But no worries.

RE: TxT-1 Parts came in today (almost finished pics)
Well I have given this truck the name $fortune$ because thats what its cost. One thing about living in a small city we don't have a hobby shop so I have to get everythign online which costs a bundle. Also I love Canada and woudn't want to live anywere else but dam! they're no after marker parts here. Everything I get has to come from the states which after duty, exchange, and everything the border puts on, makes things expensive.
I finally got the body now I am just waiting for the paint to come.

SWEET, what colours are you painting it?
http://inetrccom.ntitemp.com/shoppin...pping_home.cfm
Maybe the next TXT you get will turn out like this? (That doesn't mean that yours is bad by any means, yours ROCKS!!!)
That chassis from the website above, $449 for everything you see (ouch!)

Yeah Alex at Inet has some amazing products. Little to rich for my blood. I am going to be looking into the bat setup for my Clod down the road.
