The RC solutions cage for the Mgt adds 13 oz. The plastic side guards are replaced with aluminum for strength, so it ends up being the heaviest rcs cage. But there is nothing stronger IMO.

Scott,
I'm interested in the cage for the Mammoth, but the price on the website is a lot higher than was expected.
What is with the $162 for the Mammoth cage, and $105 for the Traxxas?
I was very disappointed when I saw the pricing on this product.
I'm sure that the protection is great, but I would like to see comparable pricing.
The Mammoth has less supports and costs more than the Traxxas cages... Something seems strange there.
Pardon me if I'm wrong...

Hi loaded,
Sorry - it is high, and for several reasons. It is 4" longer (25%) than the tmaxx. So material cost is up and so is cut time. Plus it comes with a spring steel skidplate for the rear, and the tmaxx doesnt. And it is much lower production than the tmaxx, so every step of the process costs more per part. I think it is too high too, and hopefully the price will come down.
