for my steering servo i use a futaba S3305 metal gear servo. it is not abad deal at 35 dollars. i only use a standard servo for my throttle/brake but it works fine. are you still using the stock servos?

I prefer the 9402 for steering and 9405 for throttle/brake for my MT's and buggies. very fast and plenty of tq. Both Futaba as well.

a good cheap and prob most popular is the Hitec 645MG for the steering, then take the stock steering servo, and move it too throttle/brake control

The problem that I am having with the throttle/brake servo is the trim is all the way down and if I put it in the middle, the car will move forward. If I put the idle down, it will stall. Not sure what to do. I know its not really the servos problem. WHat should I do? Also, if I got a new servo, would I have to get a new receiver?

adjust your idle screw for one, the motor should never die
if that doesn't help you need to richen the mixture a little

Before you mess with the idle, set your throttle trim to center with the engine off. Then pull the servo horn off and move it so that the carb is closed or most of the way closed, re install the servo horn. Then re adjust your brake so that it is full engaged when the brake is fully depressed. Then if this doesnt completely fix your idle problem, retune the engine.
