Mammoth Glow Plugs
What plugs are you guys using in your MAMMOTH? My buddy and I switched to Sidewinder 20/12 from Traxxas Top Fuel and are fouling plugs left and right (#3 Competition) that were recommended for the Mammoth. Didn't have this problem w/ the Top Fuel but we now have 4 gallons of sidewinder so we are trying to figure it out.
We figured it out that the new fuel made it lean so that was part of the problem but that is fixed and they still foul on us.
Thanks

Hmm.. from what I know sidewinder has LESS oil than top fuel. By "fouling".. you mean the filament going BLACK right?
If its going white.. your running too lean.
Hate to say this... but I've heard that some engine/plug/fuel combinations just dont work.. I'm sure there are reasons but they havent been figured out yet.

RE: Mammoth Glow Plugs
well depending on your altitude and quality of air these are the factors that really count when it comes to glow plugs the recommended plugs are really for use in cal where they are close to sea level and the air is more dense i live in Manitoba so i use the mc8 plug it raises compresion and advances the ignitoin a bit it work really well for me. I think that you are around the same elevation as me so give it a try!
