Hyper 7 truggy
Ok I have this...
http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=33411
it's r c p i c s w/o the spaces.
I already have a mugen rex in it and I am getting a mx3 fm radio and a ofna jammin pipe. My question is what steering servo should I use? It needs to work with an airtronics reciever and have plent of torque to crank tmaxx sized tires. I want it to be fast too. So I decided I want a digital but which one?

RE: Hyper 7 truggy
Forget the digital and just get an Air 358 or 359. Digital does not in and of itself make a servo faster or stronger, only more precise as positioning info is updated at a much higher rate than it is with an analog servo. The upside to digital is it is much more responsive to smaller degrees of input due to the faster refresh rate and less prone to deflection due to feedback from whatever it's attached to. This is a great improvement for pattern ship control which is what they were originally designed for. The downside to digital as a steering servo in a big tire MT is all the feedback generated by these big tires over rough ground forces the servo motor to work overtime to try to hold the sero on it's mark. The result is a much hotter servo motor which means shorter than normal life. This applies at center as well as at any point in the motors arc. This constant updating also hogs power so your rec pack won't go as long with a digital as it will an analog. Last of all, I've been working on one form of truggy or another for over 3 years and I've always used the above Air servos for steering. In all that time I've yet to have a failure.

I'm running a Futaba 9450 on mine, they work great 110/.09
I had a 5645, but it was too slow
Are you the guy that was selling these conversions on ebay?
if so are you making the parts yourself?
I kinda made a frankinmonster conversion with my old RTR
I'm still fine tunning it
