- It makes the truck look awesome (Especially on the T-maxx).
- You can put the air filter any were! (Max air flow baby)
- You can get an attachment to put an air intake (a big one) in the front!

yes they are cool, but notice how they run off of your flywheel. like on regular cars too, it might ad 30% more power, but it also takes away power because it has to turn off the flywheel.

The superchargers don't work. The belts always slip and they do absolutely nothing. The same holds true for boost bottles (little 4 oz NOS) the only thing those do is make your idle a little more stable. Sorry to break it to you, superchargers are a waste of money.

I remember reading a lengthy post on the reason behind why they don't work however I'm not sure where to find it anymore.

All I know is any gains you get from it, you wont notice. It'll make your truck or car run too lean at best, yet wont effect speed or acceleration in the least.

The little "boost bottles" are just to smooth out the pressure difference in the crankcase. So you have to drill a hole in the side of your engine and screw a fitting on. Then after you're done voiding your warrantee on a $300 engine you'll notice...well nothing. As endseven said it may idle better but you won't see a performance benefit.

i'm part of the crowd that believes the supercharger wont work because of the simple fact that its a 2 stroke.

I wouldn't bother with one. My LHS owner says he has one & loves it. He has a lot more money to waste than I do so I'm glad he's happy with it. lol

Has any major Magazines done review on this? How do you keep the fuel/air mixture compressed when it enters the combustion chamber? May be that's where the secret lays!

Hello BUGGIES_R_US

Do you think you can suggest RCuniverse to do a review on this? So that we know once and for all whether this thing works or not.

Yea that would be sweet. If you do decide to do it, try it on a more popular car or truck.

From what I gather, they've solved 1 of the two main issues involved with super/turbo charging: Cold air. This is good, but the other issue (since boost isn't adjustable) is the fuel.

I'd like to see #'s from running different nitro mixes in a stock engine, then in the modded one. I'm guessing there's a sweet spot at which point things will come together. Of course, if the belt is slipping...

A supercharger on a 4-stroke should work, but, from what I have seen and/or read, a 2-stroke won't benefit all that much. What would work is a "cool can", tho, really impractical.
