RE: Is the Raptor better than the Savage?
Not sure about better, or faster, but i did see it the other day. The radio box looks good, its big, and comes with a big engine, and some nice shocks. Now, all that is just from looking at it. I have never seen one run. For 360 i think it is probably a good buy.

My LHS which is ACE Hobbie & Supplies in the South Bay in Nor. Cal. (also one of the most poplular web sights for buying the RB engines on the net). Now these guys are the most hardcorest nitro racers in the San Fran. Bay Area and they said that the Raptor is actually more durable, faster and handles better the Savage. They are the main distributors for PRP racing. The actual PRP is located within miles from their hobby shop too, so they are close. And I know this hobby shop to be the most honest sellers in the Northern Cal. I am not trying to promote their business either and I know that they are not trying to brown nose PRP either. But I have never ran a Raptor so I dont actually know. Here is their website if you guys want to check it out.

I like that indoor track, but Matt, I couldn't find the price of the Raptor. If its only 360 I might have to get it off him, and tell him you refered me.

Its there, he has a bunch of them. The truck looks pretty nice. Price was definitely 360 on the box, thats not a price he quoted me either. Just a regular price.

Alright Thanks you guys, but would you rather buy the Savage 25 or the Raptor if they were both the same price?

RE: Is the Raptor better than the Savage?
Sorry to hear that man. My experience doin business with them has always been a pleasure. Makes me wonder though why you would still try to place an order with them over the net if they tried taking you for a ride numerous times. I would have stopped my business with them the first time they tried to take me for or a ride, right?? Most customers would. Hmmmmmm?[sm=tired.gif]

first time it was a good experience, 2nd time bad, thought it was jus an accident since they eventually made it right. Nope, happened again, and that was it.

i have also had trouble with ace hobbies. they were supposedly having computer trouble or some thing. first thry shipped it to the wrong address (completly wrong different state) then it was taking them forever to ship it to me a second time so i dind't wait and i cancelled the order after 2 weeks or phone conversations.[:@]

RE: Is the Raptor better than the Savage?
The Raptor isn't a bad looking truck. I like it's low CG but I doubt it could easily compete with a race bred truck. It looks heavier than a Savage & I can't see it having as much articulation as a Savage. There are definitely more hop ups for the Savage so it would have to be my choice unless I had money to experiment with & a Savage already in my garage.

RE: Is the Raptor better than the Savage?
Im not sure which would be better there isnt even a review on the truck Yet I like the retro savage look they are working with, from that stand point as far as design this is the second or third? MT contructed with its liking so obviously savage must be very impressive machine. Im a savage owner and I use my truck to bash if i wanna race I pull out my buggy but I havent tested other MT's I wouldnt mind puchasing the PRP Raptor either, except for the pull start would be a turn off. You could always add on a tiger drive later.
