RE: REVO :VS: TNX
It depends what you want man. And how much money you have. To me, the Revo is more appealing. The TNX is cool too though.
Revo
-TQ3 radio is a POS. I'll be switching that right away. Minimum cost for me would be another RX for my XS3 radio. ($75)
-Steering servos are still the 2055???? WTH Traxxas??? Throw those away. (another 130 dollars for 2 decent torque servos)
TNX
-Shocks??? Throw em away. Stock TNX hsocks are total garbage. (60-140 dollars)
-RX battery (30 dollars, TNX does not come with one, the Revo does, and a charger)
-Replacements people!!! I always hear how good something is, or how bad it is. I never see that anyone takes into consideration the cost of replacement parts. Tamiya is known for high cost replacements. Go price a body, and some stickers!
Those are just a few things to help you decide. It all comes down to what you really want though.

That's a really tough one actually. The Revo's really cool but I like the extra power that comes with the TNX from the .18 OS designed engine. It's very durable from everything I've seen it take, plus you'll get people asking you about it when you go to the hobby shop.

also consider what parts you lhs carries, unless you will order everything on the internet then this doesnt matter. but alot of lhs's carry traxxas parts so might want to take alot.

My bad luck with my 2.5 tmaxx made me sell it, and I bought a tnx for 379.00 shipped from ultimate hobbies. Like people said if want big time parts support, go traxxas, but im going to take a chance and hope the tnx turns good.

379.00 i already have the start up equipment, fuel, and battery packs. My advice by a rechargable glow iginter, fuel, and some spare glow plugs. The truck does come with a glow igniter, and some other start up equipment though.

RE: REVO :VS: TNX
well as far as spar parts a concerned you wont need much i have broken a tank, and 3 axles as well as some spurs.all this over 3 1/2 gallons of hard racing and bashing. you can get the parts fast through tower or ebay.just stock up on em.
parts supply with traxxas doesnt weigh my buying options, what do you want ? a truck that breaks alot that you can get parts for or a truck that breaks once in awhile you have to order parts for ?

How durable is the TNX along side the Savage? Those pictures thermal posted made me want one so bad. If its near as durable as a savage im sold.
