Default Ordered my Boggers, er, I mean Swamp Dawgs today

Well, I broke down and ordered a set of the Swamp Dawgs today. They should be here friday. I found them on ebay brand new for 47.00 including shipping. i don't think I did too bad since my hobby shop doesn't carry them, and I would have had to order them anyway. They are the medium rubber ones.

I was wondering, how do you go about cutting the tread on these tires? Like what tools do you have to have? I wanna remove the smallest lugs to open the tread up a little.

I am still working on pics of the rebuild today.

all that tearing down the front end was for nothing. you can just pull those cups out to replace them. they are held in by the drive shafts!! DAMN!!! I figured it out the hard way. just remove the shock and upper control arm to let the tire move outwards (to put driveshaft in cup) and that is it. oh, well.

Hey dude you might want to pick up a couple fuel filters for that also a motor saver air filter and filter oil.You really need that for the dirt.Dont forget the after run oil

Looking good, make sure that piston and sleeve go back together the same way or you'll loose compression.

I got a set of swamp dawgs (also medium) for my Savage along with a set of black beadlock wheels and a rubicon body. Needless to say it looks good. I haven't driven it much but plan to take out some center lugs with an exacto. I hear putting it under a flame before cutting makes it cut like butter. They are a bit smaller than the stock Savage tires which I was a bit disappointed with but they have plenty of traction and look good.

I bought them at [link=http://lightninghobby.com/viewitem.asp?idproduct=28002]Lightning Hobby[/link] for $21 per set of two, so you did okay.

I didn't rebuild the motor, just the diff cups on the front...bad terminology, sorry.[:-]

Yeah, i use the after run oil....what is the difference in a motor saver air filter and the one that came on it? and fuel filter? is is inline?

I have a set of real boggers on my Land Cruiser. If the miniature ones work as good as the real ones, I am gonna break some stuff quick.[&:] They hook up soooo good. Especially cut like pro class tires. The ones on my LC break birfields like there is NO tomorrow.[:@] They are the BEST tire for mud, dirt, and rocks in my opinion, which I think is an authority on tires due to my real life testing of these tires. I can't wait to get mine!!

lol, I looked at this [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/124869/Wu61065.jpg]this[/link] and thought the gold diff cup was a sleeve with a piston inside it at first glance. I need to pay more attention and go find my glasses....or get some.

Why are you running two fuel filters? There's no dirt in the exhaust, only clean gases coming from the engine. And if there are pieces of dirt or metal shooting out, that means they already went in the carb and did their damage. Besides, there's no fuel flowing through that pressure return filter, it's just exhaust gases used to pressurize the fuel system and better aid the flow of fuel to the engine. Only one fuel filter is needed.

I run two just because it can't hurt and it doesent hurt the fuel pressure.whatever you can do to keep dirt out is a plus.Better safe than sorry. especially when you run in very dusty conditions or the sand.
