Default My savage: playing in the dirt

These are a few pictures i took of my Savage 25 yesterday. I was going for the realistic look, and besides this is where and how I normally drive it. Comments are welcome.

Thanks for looking!

Usually I would agree the jeep body doesnt often look good but with the wheel combo I really like it. Looks good.....thinkin about a jeep for my revo, I just dont know if its out there, and on top of that I dont know how good itll look. But, nice work, looks sweet! I gotta give my revo a washin....its so dirty

Thanks for the compliment, I didn't know if the jeep would look alright either but I am pleased with how it turned out. I also have the Bronco body painted up in red.

That looks nice .Being a jeeper myself I'm curious about the source of the body and whether or not I can get it to fit my lst in a reasonable manner

TIA

Pinolelst, it is an HPI Savage body available wherever HPI trucks are sold. It's the Rubicon Jeep body, you can see it on their website: http://www.hpiracing.com

As for that body fitting on an LST, sorry but it doesn't look like that will happen. I took these tonight with the Savage body on my LST and as you can see nothing lines up. The wheelbase is much larger on the LST for one thing, the width is also a lot different as well as the height. Notice it only covers part of the (exposed) spur gear and clutch.

You should cut your tires like I did mine, that is if you like lots of traction. I did mine and WOW did it ever improve them. I think it makes them look cool too when they don't have the little tread blocks.

What are you talking about, look at all that dirt on my LST tire!

And the Savage is driving through a swamp in one picture. I had just cleaned the Savage before taking all those, and really wasn't planning on setting up all those shots but it was a saturday morning and had nothing better to do. I assure you it's plenty dirty right now, and the clutch is back in one piece on the LST so that will be getting another coating of mud.
