Default RAMTraxx -- Got Traxx??

Here is my latest creation. Borrowed some parts from a Chinese truck, and new axles and carriers for my E-Maxx. More to follow:

i dont think that well wait until u pick up speed and u have got to remember that when u turn a corner that one wheel spins faster than the other the treads on the tracks will wear down very easy but all-in-all a very nice customisation(?)

We've talked about this before. I'm glad to see you've finally figured something out.

What keeps the track assembly from flipping upside-down when it leaves the ground?

jefx i think with it having more wait at the bottom of the trax as u can see that it is mounted to the top that is the only aid that u have got for it trying not to spin round in an ideal case it would be mounted in 2 positions then that would mean it cant flip

I've got several concepts in my head for tracked systems that are quite practicle and easy to build, but they all need a rubber track. It's getting a rubber track that poses the real problem for creating such a thing. Tracks on the rear and skis on the front would make for an awesome snow machine!

Ramtech has posted in the past about a track setup, and even contacted some companies to try and have a rubber track made. He said that the price of the tracks just makes it too impracticle to make.

They are radio shack parts off the their truck. That is the only way I could afford to do this. Its made for climbing and rock crawling, not bashing or jumping. The assembly has a tongue and groove type of system to keep the tracks level. It works pretty well, but its for fun, not for racing or bashing.

No, you have to buy the whole truck to get the body. I kept the truck and put the round wheels on it for my 5 year old.

You sure? Usually the manual has a blow-up page or two with the vehicle in pieces and another page or two listing every single last part or `screw used.

just make the rubber track, instead of making it completly out of rubber add the _____ (its like the layers they put down between the rubber), make it like a tire, stronger and longer lasting.

lol...sorry about that, do you know how to make a tire, like one for a car? or do you know what a tire is made of? what i was saying instead of making the tread 100% out of rubber, make it like like a car tire, if you still dont understand me, just forget it.
