Default What Radio Control Systems do you all use?

Just wanted to know what RC controls you lot all use...and recommend...
I just bought a Savage and feel that the controller is a little cheap and shabby.
Anyone recommend a good upgrade?

See I bent the ariel on my Savage one...an it's gonna cost me £7.99 for a new one for my local..i thought why not just get a new controller alltogether!
I want to get a reverse module....and a new set of brakes to...(the upgrade ones).
Obvously if I buy the reverse module I will need new servos right?

Well im a PROPA newbie..

so..can someone tell me everything I'll need?
And...what do steering servos do :S
Are they hard to fit?
Basically..match me with everyhting please!

Below £100 if possible...

Also....those controllers which have the two lil bits....with one section doing ups and downs...
and the other left and rights...
Where is the brake on these? and are thes ebetter then the tire wheel turn ones?

well for a reverse module you need a 3-channel controller, and a high torque servo for the steering.. i use the JR XR2i, it comes with the servos, and it cost like around $160 CND its only 2 channels, but theres 1 above it with 3 channels

Stock one that came with my MGT.

Stock one that came with my RC10GT 4 years ago.[&:]

Surprisingly the RC10GT radio shows no signs of age. [8D]

I use my XS3 that came with my LST. I drive my LST, two savages and one t-maxx with the same remote. Of course one at a time though.

Why get a different remote when you could drive six different models with one. The XS3 is one of the best remotes on the market.

I use the JR XS3 Pro, I purchased extra RS300 and RS310 synthesized receiver for my Savage, Revo, MGT, Spyder, Sportmaxx, T-maxx. I love the 10 model memory.

Personally I like them simple and easy to use, those computerized ones hurt my brain because they make me think to much!! Actually futaba, ace makes a good radio the one that comes with associated vehicles. I like knobs to adjust trim etc. I wouldn't mind having the simpler style with a synthized radio, able to adjust to different frequencies.

I didn't like the feel of the xs3 it felt a bit cheap and nasty. If you want a decent radio then you can't go wrong with KO propo. They have a good budget set, the Ex 11 presto ( i had one of these when I bought a 2nd hand car and got a set with that). You could always try getting hold of a second hand Ex 1, they have all the toys you could need. I used to have a Ex 10 helios. That is a really good radio pricey but it has a unprogrammable 3rd channel so I had to get rid of it so i could set up my lst properly.

I now use a futaba 3pk it's really top notch, includes batterys and a hrs reciever.

Check on ebay and don't be afraid to get stuff shipped internationally, i have never had a problem just make sure whatever you buy it is either 27mhz or preferably 40mhz. 75mhz is illegal in the UK
