Wont run without GlowStarter on
when i start me Mad Force it runs well but as soon as i take off the glow plug it stops,. but it will run for ages (1-2mins) with the glowplug on
Any ideas why would be appriciated, and how i can fix them
EDIT; also does any1 have the factory settings for the GX21 engine used on the madforce?

the glow plug is the little thing inside the motor and the ignitor is what makes the glow plug get hot. trying setting the idel higher. or just take it to your lhs. they can help you.

yeah it was in fine. but i would really liek teh factry settings for the gx21r if anybody has them please?

Glow plugs can last for months and months or they can last 5 seconds. I am 99.9% sure it's a bad glow plug. Change it with the right plug and give it another go.

thnaks, i have changed the glow plug and will test it agin 2 moz, cheers dudes v useful

I would bet that it's the glow plug. Like the other guy said, you can get 1 that will last months, then have a bunch that are duds. It's a crap shoot.

Yea should be the glow plug. If it isn’t then your too rich and soon as your removing the glow starter the excess fuel is extinguishing the glow plug.

Some plugs will still fire an engine but not be very powerful.A good general rule of thumb is to replace the plug if the engine drops any appreciable rpm when you remove the glow heater from it after starting or of course if it dies constantly after removing it.I've found that when the glow plug coils all light but for the top couple turns it will not start my engine but will run in my buddies crapped out touring car engine which has so little compression it runs OK for about 2 minutes but once it hits operting temps things get too loose and it dies.
