what do you reccomend i do to it right out of the box

to make it more reliable and faster ill have an extra 200 to spend on it if i go with a savage

Get an FM radio like the JR XR3i, nimh reciever pack, and a higher torque steering servo than the XR3i comes with. A fail safe would be a nice thing if you have anything left over.

replace the steering servo with one that has metal gears. The plastic stock ones break A LOT

Get the savage SS ribbed pipe.

I say, Hitec 645 servo, HPI cam type steering servo saver, Golden horizons single stinger pipe, 4 spider diff mod. those are all essentials in my book.

Well, you'll actually have to buy different parts, HPI and Ofna.
Or you can buy the new HPI only 4 spider diff mod.

But I would recommend getting alloy diff housing too.
I don't have a part number though. Just check the HPI website, or ebay. theres always loads on there.
