the idle on my truck is very eractic, goes high then normal then high again, if i set idle speed lower, engine stops running, if i set idle higher, seems to clear problem, but the spur wheel is turning a little bit, is that ok?

how can can idle to be less eractic?

first change your plug if you have'nt already then check for a air leak in the engine.. also check your fuel lines,fuel bulb,and make sure your fuel tank lid is closing all the way..
