Default Which Monster truck? X-Factor, savage 25, savage ss, or t-maxx?

Hey, i was wondering what anyone (besides my brother) has an opinion as to which nitro truck to get. My only limitations is about a $450 price range and i live in a place that it smows a lot in the winter and is hot in the summer. I am not very experienced in rc, i have an e-maxx and i like the suspension. I've seen my friends' trucks and there never stock. so, if anyoe wants to post, it would be appreciated.

t-maxx is dated and underpowered.

savage is just as dated as the t-maxx, but has a bigger motor

x-factor is something completely different, if you are into "Off-Road" not "Off-Road Racing" then this truck is great. moderate rock crawler (nitro holds it back), high-speed handling is scary, i barely get full use out of the 2 speed. it's durable, fun, and very unique.......but not something you take to the track.

i'd recommend the savage or x-factor based on your driving style and what you want, there's plenty of upgrades for the savage, and plently for the x-factor......but most hobby shops dont carry x-factor parts. everyone supports the savage tho.

personally i run the x-factor, and i have tons of fun with it. but i'm not into speed (that's for the Nitro TC3) or jumping so it suits me fine.

and from personal experience, the X-Factor with some chains and silly-puttied front diff and jb welded rear diff absolutly rocks in the snow!

^^buggies are fun and fast, but they pretty much have to stick to off-road tracks and dirt roads......not a lot of clearance, wouldn't work in snow at all i don't think

maybe a truggy? i dunno, i've only had monster trucks and on-road cars

if you plan on jumping a lot and want to be able to move very quickly and fast then get a buggy or stadium truck.

if you plan on jumping a lot and want loads of power and tons of off-road capabilities, then get a monster truck. they look cool too!

if you want to mainly hit very high speeds and want to jump high and far, but dont care much about off-road stuff, then get a buggy.

if you just want to manuever quickly and impress the hell out of old people and kids with insane high speeds, then get a road car.

^^^ that is how i look at it. from what you have said, i think you should get a stadium truck.

yeah, but i was just checking out the MP 7.5 RTR review on this site, and it was flying over the gravel and some fairly sized rocks and it was FAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT. I also like the style, and we have small real cars and not so much room in them. I had an electric st: XXX-T RTR and wasnt too crazy about the off roading on it. Thanks for the suggertions on the class, but what buggy do you reccomend?

Savage 25 or the X-Terminator the X-Factor is nice but theres a limited "niche" in it for the Nitro R/C world and if you want just balls-out speed off-road the X-Terminator would be the best for ya, its cheap, parts are cheap, the engine is easy to tune, reliable and powerful as hell, the savage is the unofficial f|_|ck it truck, "should i jump that thing? .... eh f&#$ it" it'll take a beating like a red-headed stepchild and keep comin back.. course the same is true for almost any buggy other than the cheapest of the cheaps like the duratrax axis and yes Ofna Ultra LX Comp .... its a bad buggy.... you ofna fans can deny it but you know its true, the good ofna buggies are 450+ typically and KYOSHOs problem is everything they charge is well over its worth, parts cost an arm and a third leg, the only buggy so far to catch my eye has been the XB8 its 650, a kit, no engine or radio but god if it doesnt look sic , now as for the Maxx and LST... i have both and so far the maxx has had $200 to make it into a good truck and the LST needs a new battery pack to even run right... oi

oh no i own a savage and its tuff as nails no doubt

but in all honesty my truggy would withstand far more than that savage

thats one of the reasons i bought a savage cause i was told and read that it would be just about as tough as my truggy

ok... lets compare a Lamborghini Murcielago to a toyota celica while were at it... the XXXNT is leaps ahead of the rusty... their both about as good for bashing but on the track the rusty'd get abused like a kid in neverland ranch it sucks on all the fronts that STs are supposed to rule in...
