Whats the point? The reciever isnt synth.

I'd go with the XS3 or MX-3S

I voted for the JR XS3. I had the XS3i and it was a great radio..but the XS3 is a synth radio, nothing like being able to switch freqs if someone else happens to be on the same channel. Happens more often then not...that has to be murphys law [:@]

What about the Hitec CRX? It is an module based radio. Already waiting for the Spektum to be dropped in. Plus it has kick ass features. I like the wheel resistance adjustment.

I agree that module based seems to be the best. With the Spektrum coming out and me being into racing...I'll want and need the spektrum.

There is even a cheap Hitec SRX that I'll be buying to start, it is fully module compatible and you can use the Spectra module to make the controller synthesized.

Right now I run the MX-3 (not synth), but I do have a synth Novak XXtra in my racer...simple swapping crystals in the MX-3 and a twist of the switches on my XXtra and I'm ready.

I'd recommend the MX-3s or the XR3s over anything futaba has in the same price, but again module based is what I'd really push. Modules will let you run crystals, synth, or soon the Spektrum.

I have the LST and it came with the XS3 and it is really nice. Great feel and of course just switch channels if you have to.

The XS3 and the Pro are great radios - the Pro however comes with the new RS310 synth. Rx which is smaller and still allows you the freedom of quickly changing channels.
