Good Monster Truck KIT
What would be a good Monster Truck Nitro KIT, I really don't want a RTR since I enjoy building a kit, they are usually cheaper, and you learn more from building a kit. So all you guys, what is a good nitro truck, I have experience with nitro on-road cars so I am experienced in both building and nitro. Thanks all!!

Can't fully understand the need for everybody to go to RTR's. The kits aren't that time consuming or hard to build, and if there were more out there I'm sure they'd be much cheaper.
Are there any other kits out there then, monster truck or even stadium type truck that would be good. I would still though like a monster truck though. Used to have a Big Brute electric one back in the late 80's-90's and want a nitro monster truck now. Thanks for the input!

if you really must have a kit just pick your favorite truck and when you get home take the whole thing apart and then get the diagrams andd put it back together cause kits are a thing of the past. i dont like it i just deal with it. its funny to watch the hobby change,i think im getting old, when i started out it was all kits and almost no nitro cars. but now its almost all nitro cars and no kits lol

It's just like airplanes. They used to all be kits for the most part. Now a large part are ARF(RTR). It only costs $10 or something like that to get a car built in Asia. Somehow they must save money by doing it this way.

I've noticed this myself as well. I love building things like that and I wanted a kit but I ended up with a Stampede. While I've spent quite abit of time working on it and tinkering, it's just not the same as having a box of individual parts to put together from scratch. I am going to buy the new Savage SS kit when it comes out. Yes I agree, a Revo kit would be great but I guess Traxxas doesn't think so.
I love tax time every year, I always get me a new toy.

Idea..buy the truck of your choice. Then, ship it to me, ill tear it down, and bag all the associated parts, then ship it back to ya. I think 50.00 dollars would be a fair price for the service [8D]

they save money in packaging of individual pieces. its all about supply and demand, i guess more people were buying rtr so thats where we are now and we are the few who like to build. but the rc10factory team is still a kit and i got that

Actually, you have a couple of choices when it comes to MT kits. You can get a GS Storm SUT Pro kit, or a savage SS kit. If you look hard you might still be able to find a Bergonzoni MT kit. I also prefer kits, but my favorite race MT is available RTR only so I have to just do the best I can.
