id like an easy way to clean my mgt, so i was wandering if i took off all the electronics and closed off air filter could i wash my truck with a hose ? and afterwards i would blow dry with an air compressor.

Yeah, so every speck of dust within 10 miles will stick to it.

...but the flip side is that those specks will be 100x easier to get off!
So what do you want, some dirt that's harder to get off, or more dirt that's easier?
Plus, with the WD40, you get rust / corrosion resistance (yeah, yeah, this doesn't count for plastic).

if you maintain your truck well, WD40 is fine, if you don't, then you will have problems after a month of bashing...

Usually, I just wet down my truck with what ever is available such as windex, 409, simple green, etc, then I blow it off with my air compressor. If the dirt can stick through that, well, it deserves to stay.

hose and use a paint brush... Just remember to dry it well first b4 spraying the whole thing with wd40.

Plus make sure no water go in the carb...[:-]. you'll be having a rusty motor overnight :P

After using my buddies denatured alcohol yesterday (along with his air hose). I am going to stick with that! My truck was a dusty greasy mess and it cleaned it right up!!!

Pretty cheap and aval at Home Depot or Lowes

once a month I do that to most of my cars...my X-T, my GT, and my NTC3.
i remove electronics and engine, hose it down w/dish soap, then soak in WD40
I let 'em sit for a while, then hit em with motor spray.
