Gas Monster Truck
Hi Everyone,
I've done a lot of searching on the web and on these forums, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I want to get into R/C trucks, but don't want to deal with nitro tuning or battery charging... So, I'm looking for a regular gas powered truck. Traxxus has a gas powered buggy. The motor looks like something you might find on a weed wacker, two stroke gas/oil mix with a pull starter. That seems like a good solution for me. Long run times, low maintenance, cheap fuel, etc etc.
What I have not been able to find is a gas powered truck around 1/10 scale. Many searches for "gas" end up talking about nitro fuel, but like I said, I'm not looking for nitro.
Any help or suggestions? I'm not planning to race, just some backyard bashing, parking lots, grass fields, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Doug

RE: Gas Monster Truck
i don't think anyone makes what your looking of in 1/10 scale. I believe Duratrax, XTM, FG, Traxxas have gas powered trucks/buggies but are around 1/6 scale. these are BIG and costly.

Dang razoo you beat me to saying that. Well I do remember a topic about this before but it was about running a normal 1/10 or 1/8 scale on gas.

Thanks for the info. I like the Duratrax buggy, and it includes the servos and radio (Traxxas does not).
Do you have websites for XTM and FG? I did some searching and found places that sell them, but not their company sites.
Thanks again,
Doug

Heres the one for XTM: http://xtm.globalhobby.com/
Don't know the one for FG, maybe a search will come up with one.
