RE: the biggest & fastest MT?
The Mammoth is the fastest and the Genesis is the biggest, but if you're looking for the combination of both (as far as nitro burners), then the LST takes the cake.

Everyone is WRONG WRONG WRONG. THE BIGGEST and FASTEST MT TRUCK is and was THE NEW ERA 1/4 scale MT truuck. TOP speed 50 mph and the biggest 2 times the size of a mamouth. Second in line is the 1/5 scale MCD truck and third is the FG MT truck. Then you gan go nitro.

Are they NITRO furled trucks? Because that is what jefx stated! I believe that the 1/4 scale monster trucks are 23 or 26 CC gas fueled weed eater engines.

The EK4 does have a 70 in it, and is fast. But the problem I seen from all of the videos, its not usable power. You crack the throttle WOT on it, and it would be on its lid. And I dont think it is as physically big as the Genisis.

....yea that is alot of un-usable power. however if you take that engine (the biggest, fastest, and most powerful engine ever installed on a factory "nitro" rc truck) and place it on a heavy duty truck like an OFNA Titan you will have the perfect package.

RE: the biggest & fastest MT?
frost my .70 Titans top speed is around 31-34mph using the 2-speed metal gear tranny and 24mph when using first only thats when i'm hill or rock climbing. i run my trucks VERY rich so i don't know what it might top out at but the 30's are plenty fast for me seeing i never worry about my temp because the .70 holds a cool 215-240 degree's no matter how hard you run it unlike the engine (OFNA .25 JUNK) that came with the truck. so you see if you can't buy it like you want then add a .70TT

RE: the biggest & fastest MT?
The FG MT is just as fast and much better looking and practical, and it cost 1000 bucks, not 4400 like that Era contraption.
LOL, you could buy 4 FGMT's.
Anybody got a video of the Era MT bashing or lapping a track?
BTW, when it comes to 1/8 scale the EK4 is still the king.

RE: the biggest & fastest MT?
FG MT5 is the new king of the "I'm the biggest and you can get parts" hill. That's why they can't make enough of them to satisfy the demand.
New Era 1/4 was the first large scale MT, but it just went out of production. Try getting a new one now. MCD was dropped by distributors because MCD support was lousy.
Croozer, I'd like to see a pic of your EK4. You must have done some serious upgrades to that truck for it to claim top honors.

RE: the biggest & fastest MT?
Like i said guys i am now into 1/5 scale. I am currently running a FG Leopard with a 29cc SIKK engine and F/R cable brakes. This thing has a low CG, longer chassis, and kills the MT-5 every day of the week and twice on friday. I have 2 gas cars and i'm loving it. I don't know much about New Era Models RC's but i know a great deal about nitro (I own over 15) and what makes the .70 TT sooooooo special is it has internals (same diamiter cylinder with o-ring) which are very similar to a gas/oil mix engine instead of the cone shape cylinders which are in most .12, .15, 2.5, .21, .25, .26 engines. This slight differance gives the .70TT long lasting life over any nitro engine, which is why i say it's the only nitro engine truck i own which i will continue to run. Why??? No hard starting, no hot temps, plenty power, and did i mentioned "No Hard STARTS".
Lets face it we all have about $200.00 or more into pretty much any 1/12, 1/10, 1/8 scale nitro rc truck/car we own. If we average the cost its about $625.00- $900.00 right. oh, plus $100.00 for the on going headaches nitro brings. Add a buck fifty more and you have enough for a out-of-the-box hop-up 1/5 or 1/6 scale rc that rips any nitro a "New One".
