What's the best way to peel those tires off the rims without killing either?

Aahhh... that's crap. The rims get scratched up but the tires are good. I tried alcohol and nail polish remover but nothing. It's a pain in my ass!

Boiling works for me and you save the tire and foam....
I will do it for 4 or 5 minutes and then pull it apart a bit then repeat till done....

damn....that's pretty cool. i never would have thought of that, i would always resort to chemical substances to soften the rubber glue.
Thanx.

I dont know... if you glued the wheels on yourself, it will probably work... But I couldnt undo the stock glue-job using the boil or bake techniques.

RE: Rims and Tires!
Try boiling first so you can save the foam and any leftover glue thats a Pain use pure accetone that they use for removing nail/polish.
U can soak in the accetone and works great but ruins the foams!

RE: Rims and Tires!
I use a seal-able container large enough to hold the tire and rim assembly. Pour 1/2 inch acetone into the bottom of the container. Find a spacer just tall enough to support the tire just above the acetone. Put the tire in the container and seal it up. Don't let the tire touch the acetone. Let it sit over night. The fumes from the acetone will melt the glue while not harming the tire or foam. Depending on the temperature the tire should come loose from the wheel over night. Once removed from the wheel, take the foam out of the tire. The part you want to save can now be set into the acetone and the remaining glue will be completely removed from the tire or the wheel, which ever your trying to reuse. The tire and wheel will look like new when your done. No damage to the bead area at all.
