Default Alright, how does this list sound to you all?

Ok, as im nearing the gap i need a new engine for the MGT(hurray!) here is what i think is good:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHGU5&P=7
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGZM0&P=7
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFUK1&P=Z
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFUK3&P=Z
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFUL0&P=Z
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFUE9&P=M

Now, I will still use the stock clutchbell, I have side exhaust mount with ribbed .21+ hpi pipe. so is that list good? The MIP might be easier for me to fiddle with then the 3 clutch shoes from heck, thats why i want to get it.

Thanks.

if you always pay through pay pal you have nothing to worry about, i buy all my motors off ebay. ive bought every truck ive owned off ebay aswell exept for my monster gt cuz there wasnt one cheaper than ultimate hobbies. but if you dont want to use ebay thats fine but i would seriously try and find a different motor than that. i have a mach .26 in my monster gt it's a good motor, or even an SH .28 will prolly be cheaper aswell.

do NOT get an Sh.28. those engines are death traps. i have heard numerous stories about people snapping their connecting rods during break-in! i would reccomend anything over the Sh.28. look into those mach .26's. i heard they rip and are user friendly. or try a wasp 26/picco 26-27. those are great engines (from what i heard) and you wont snap your con rod. good luck!

I dont have that much money, (When i go for gas in my nissan it takes away 1/3 of my pay check!). Im only bashing around, no racing.

Thanks.

Seriously, the Mach .26 is a VERY good motor, and very good value for money, I have two of them and a Collari .30

I just bought another Mach for $117 on ebay.

Sorry to hear that you don't trust ebay. I know there are a lot of scam artists out there, but I have completed hundreds of transactions as a buyer and a seller and have neverr been ripped off. As proxpilot says, if you always pay through pay pal you have nothing to worry about. Make sure the seller has heaps of posistive feedback ( I look for over 100+ just to be sure).

I can personally reccommend these two, as I have done heaps of business with both of them: iamdownhere and outlaw-truck-parts

Check the currrent auctions, Both under $130 AND they come with air cleaner, carb, clutch bell and shoes as well as pinion gears.

Just my $.02

do not get the wasp/diablo .28 it sucks big time!!!!!!!! the picco .27 is awesome and you can get a better price than 210 just shop around, the picco .26/wasp .26 is also very good and the 24.7 pro is also very good just not the wasp/diablo .28, i havent heard anything good about the force. but shop around not just at tower, the sts .28 is also vey good and the hpi .28, just not the was/diablo .28[:'(][:@][:'(][:@][:'(][:@][:'(][:@][:'(][:@][:'(][:@][:'(]

no the diablo is definatley not good, never runs right and has crappy power compared to my mach .26, so why would you get a more expensive .28 if a cheaper better built .26 has more power and easy to tune
