RE: EK4 S2
If you are a experienced RC'er I say go for it, there is nothing that can touch a EK4 on the market when it comes to brute power and acceleration.
If you are a noob I would suggest you look elsewhere, and if you do decide to pick one up make sure it is a V2 (2nd generation), as the V1 had some problems with overheating and weak differentials, now if the person has replaced the cyl. head and added aftermarket diffs you won't have a problem.
I own a V1 and a V2, there are some pix of my V2 in my gallery.

RE: EK4 S2
The V1 also had a problem with the stock starter, most people replaced it with a MSJ unit, one quick way to see the difference between a V1 and a V2 is the cyl. head, the V1 has a flat square cyl. head and the V2 has a taller round head.

RE: EK4 S2
Im an rc car newbie, and I bought this as my first truck.
Im very satisfied with mine. But have only run 2,5 liters or 84 oz of fule through it . So the engine is still breaking in.
I have had small mishaps because im seriously bad at taking on jumps So my wheelie bar, body post, and a the stock servo arm has broken.......but thats just my poor driving
I have also broken/shacken the RX crystal.......but its from my 10 year old radio set......so nothing last`s for ever
The mechanical parts are still intact and going strong.
There are some small pins in the front whel steering system that are being held by a stop screw. These had worked loose. But fortunatly, I found them before they did any carnige.
