Default Big block?

What is the biggest, most powerful motor that can be crammed into an LST? I'm looking for something reliable, fast and resonably priced.

Let me get this straight.. you want the biggest, most powerful motor that can be crammed into an LST that is reliable, fast and resonably priced?

I have the PEERFECT solution, it's called the MACH .26!!

An Losi had it figured out long before I did.

there's not a better comnbination of the attributes that you are looking for than the Mach..that's why it comes in the truck

it just depends on how creative you are. line trimmer engines are cheap to buy, cheap to run, super reliable, and have enough torque to push an LST to about 70 mph if done right. here's my S-Maxx

It would be easy to do a MGT. push the trany forward, make up new front and rear drive shafts, mount the engine sideways... and run a chain to the stock input shaft. (a #25 roller chain would be perfect) easy Actualy, I was going to use an MGT for my gasser conversion... but I got a good price on the S-Maxx.

When I said resonably priced I didn't mean that it had to only cost like $20, I just meant that I don't want to pay more for an engine than I did my truck. Where can I find out more on the Collari and Thunder Tiger engines? Dr Honda I like the line trimmer engine!
