good handing trucks?
i seen two trucks in a xxxmain video and wanted to know if anyone has these trucks or know anything about them. the hardcore mutant maxx and the duratrax thunder quake. they both look like they have low cg and wide stance. so it looked to me like they would handle fairly well. i have never seen one in person. i go to a small track with only maxxes, revos, savages, and one guy has a monster gt. would either of these trucks make a good racing truck or should i just stick with my s-maxx

RE: good handing trucks?
Just like with cars, there is WAY more to handling than a low-cg and wide stance.
The wheels, tires, foam, suspension geometry, roll-center height, dampening, travel, and much more ALL add together. A low CG doesn't compensate well for a crappy suspension. I don't know much about RC (new to the hobby), but know a little about suspensions and was very impressed with a Revo when checking out all the trucks. And I don't buy that "good handling is only for racing". I don't plan to ever race, but it is nice to be able to haul butt through some rough terrain and turn it at any decent speed w/o it tipping over or pushing.
