RE: your favorit truck
Went to the track today... man is it hot... it's a fun one, though. Guess I'll see you tomorrow.... I should be there around 5PM. You can't miss me, I'm 6'4" ... 285lbs... and have a black Revo that's beat to hell.

RE: your favorit truck
had a hard time with the over-under... being off of the driver's stand (on the old one), I can't see the other side... and I didn't want to be on the driver's stand... because I had to do my own marshalling... and being that I'm not a good race driver, and the course is new, I had to marshall a LOT.

RE: your favorit truck
The track is about 1/3 the size of my local track. I did not run on it Thursday but will be there tonight. It looks pretty good but is going to be a tight fit. I had gone back to stock gears but I may need to gear down cause there's no way I will be able to open it up out there. You should be able to recognize me by my LST!!

ORIGINAL: 2DMaxLST!!
I know a dude with a mostly stock Revo who can blow me away, he's a really good driver.

The one guy to beat me the last time I raced had a Revo with OS .18TZ, extended chassis, new rocks, reconfigures layout for racing, blah blah and he beat me by 2 seconds at the end. I'm sure I paid about $400-$500 less for mine...[:-]

I think for the most part... racing comes down to driver skill. You can put a lot of money into a vehicle, but if you don't have the skillz, you're not gonna win. (i.e. me vs. 2DMaxLST) Of course, truth be told, we probably have the same amount of $$ into our trucks... (his cost ~$600 stock plus wheels/tires... mine was $450... and the engine was another $230) so, give or take 50-100.. We've probably got the same amount invested in the truck.

RE: your favorit truck
People see the body on mine and assume it is totally tricked out. I have the stock engine, pipe and drive train except for the Werks clutch. I have the stock shock springs and fluid weight, just threaded bodies. The most expensive additions I have are the Airtronics steering servos and the LOSI High Performance Plates. I'm getting a bit better each time I run it and that's free, unless I drive 2k round trip to race!!

RE: your favorit truck
Wow, Birch Hills... I drove though Saskatoon one time, really wanted to visit Prince Albert Nat'l Park. Nice country up there.
This thread has been a laugh riot!!! It's so entertaining reading people's posturing, this truck is better than that one, that truck sucks etc. Reminds me of what happened one time at a club race. Some old timer came down to race with us kids ( I'm 40 ) and had some old buggy I had never heard of. Several people made some off color comment about whether or not he could finish a lap. Well, he did finish a lap, and then some. Just about tore up our track, damn near TQ'd his class, but then finished poorly because of vehicular failure in the A main. Anyway, he definitely taught us 'kids' a few things.
Driver skill always has been, always will be 90% of the win equation.
PS: the best truck (MT or OTHERWISE - thread does not specify), is either the Mugen MBX-5 pro spec with the truggy conversion, or the Kyosho 777 special 1 also with truggy conversion. I wish anyone and everyone the best of luck running their MT's against those guys... you will need it!

RE: your favorit truck
In the interest of being completely clear when I say a stock Revo can beat me it was #8 on this list and I think he races in some pretty stiff competition.
I'm very lucky to have some a very difficult local track and other excellent drivers to compete against.
My next race will be my 11th with the LST. I had not raced in almost 18 months and for that matter had never won a race till I started running a LST.
The title of this thread is your favorite truck and it is located in the monster truck forum. I don't count truggies. I'm thankful to have a pro-level racer with a LSP at my local track because to be honest if he was not there it would get boring.
The guy who beats me like a rented Mule with his LSP every weekend is #4 on this list and I think you may know some of the names there.
Note fastest lap out of this group.....
Here are my local track results from this weekend... (jlap cause one restart, the next time it froze we all just agreed to keep going but these results are typical)
A Main - monster truck open (Unofficial Results)
Pos. Car Racer's Name Results
1 1 Will Schlentz 9/06:25.053 (UNLIMITED) (LSP)
2 3 Dennis Adams 9/06:40.558 (LST)
3 2 Keith Huffman 9/06:54.791 (LST)
4 6 Joey Brown 8/06:15.424 (REVO)
5 4 David Sparks 8/06:33.322 (REVO) excellent driver with quick turn installed.
6 7 David Wilcox 6/06:02.701 (REVO)
7 5 Daniel Gonzales 0/00:00.000 (REVO) OS TZ went bad, very good driver!!
8 8 Ryan Pape 0/00:00.000 (REVO) Mach .26 bent/broke engine mount during qual

I have a LSP but I get my kicks racing monster truck.
